George Marechera is the Head ' Digital Systems and Solutions for Agriculture are AGRA. He is responsible for supporting AGRA's 3.0 strategy and AGRA's Digital Agricultural Strategy with improved technologies for farmers to achieve higher yields and farmers and SMEs to access better marketing opportunities to improve their productivity and profitability, as well as improved food systems and food security decision making for national and regional mandated institutions. George has vast experience in developing and implementation digital systems and solutions for agriculture with a passion for supporting governments, SMEs, farmers with appropriate digital tools for improved productivity, profitability and optimisation of resources. Having worked in more than 23 countries in Africa, George has a wealth of experience having worked for different local, regional, and international organizations in various roles in the agriculture industry with keen interest on digital systems and solutions, AI /ML, Blockchain, mechanisation, agri-business development, market and financial linkages, and business strategy.
