Alex Berkovskiy
Alex Berkovskiy is the President AMEA of Syngenta, based in Dubai. He has a deep understanding of the agri-tech industry and grower needs, with more than 25 years of experience around the world. Alexander guides the AMEA team in bringing the best of Syngenta’s technology and solutions to farmers and other key stakeholders in the region – comprised of more than 60 countries with more than 50% of the world’s agricultural land.
Alex has held leadership roles in finance, marketing, business development and general management since joining Syngenta’s predecessor Novartis in 1999. He took on his current role in 2023. He has a master’s degree in national economy from the State University of Management, Russia, and a doctorate in economics from the Moscow Institute of International Economic and Political Science. He recently completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.
